Howdy.

Thanks for this article So many times I see outdoorsmen take a knife that doesn’t fit their needs. I see folks taking pocket knives to try to field dress deer, (Scary! A folding knife can collapse on your fingers under strain) If you are not comfortable sharpening your own knife, find a local sharpening professional to do it for you.
If you are leaving your knife in storage for a long time, make sure you put it away clean, dry, and with a slight sheen of Mink Oil on the blade. This will prevent rust.
